Here are another batch of songs popular from nineteen thirty-five to ninteen thirty-nine. The two songs showcased within the exhibit are Robert Johnson's "Come Into my Kitchen," Judy Garland's "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," and Billie Holiday's rendition of "All of Me." Robert Johnson was chosen to exemplify the sound of the blues from the context of the 1930's. Judy Garland was chosen because we talked about the song in class. All of Me was chosen because I like that song.
