Title
First flushing toilet
Subject
Long before the Joads were oggling at the newly built flush toilets in the weedpatch camp, the first flushing toilet emerged in 1824. It wasn't called a "toilet," however. It was known as a "water closet". Washrooms were a little different back then. There was a lot of experimentation on how to develop the washroom and its plumbing system. The Victorians went through a bit of trial and error before they found the better combination. In fact, the improvements never stopped improving until the 20th century when better models were able to come along with better plumbing systems.
Description
This is an example model of a "water closet" from the year 1824.
